Don Derby, a Kansas native with a lifelong love for country music, began playing honky-tonks at 16 before moving to Nashville in 2004 to pursue a full-time music career. There, he launched an independent label, built a recording studio, and immersed himself in songwriting and production. After stepping away from the industry for nearly a decade to care for his ailing wife, Don returned with a renewed faith-driven mission, now creating and performing music that honors God—often alongside his ten-year-old daughter, Ella. A world yodeling champion at 18, Don now supports Ella, a gifted violinist and vocalist who began playing at four and has already earned national and state fiddle titles. With original compositions, award-winning performances, and a dream of playing the Grand Ole Opry, Ella is quickly making her mark—usually with Don on guitar by her side.
